I cleaned the ac 500 last night and what do I find. I baby cory cat about a 1/4 long. I know they have breed in the past cause they are more in there than when I started with them 15 years ago in the tank. It was a pleasant surprise. I find african fry all the time in filter but this is my first cory.

I love your laidback style. I figured they were breeding because there were more of them than I started with 15 YEAR's ago. I'm thinking you maybe started with 2 and now there's like 20 of all sizes. And your going think there's more here than I remember. I wonder if the original's are still alive. And if it was me I probably would have torn up the tank trying to figure out where theyre doing it thus killing the breeding.

Well I am now wondering where they are keeping the fry but will most likely leave them alone. As far as #'s the last I saw were 5 adults 3 larger ones and 2 smaller. I started with 3 adults so maybe they are still the originals as I have never found a dead one.

I have never found a corydoras in the filter but i find bristlenose fry all the time in my Aquaclears.
I usually run one Sponge filter standing vertical so they have a nice Hole to lay in until I remove them or they migrate back downstream
Nice job even if it wasn't intended

That's the way Alishanas was breeding his petricolas. He would find them in his outside filter. Nice when you don't have to do any work.
