Here's the male Vieja ufermanni. Still no breeding action. Jut a lot of foreplay. Cutteri looking over his shoulder.:

The Labridens continue to breed. Right one of the females has a small brood. The extra male in the tank remains on his side of the tank concentrating on the food.

Extreme close up of the Paratheraps breidohri showing the extremely beautiful coloration. I almost didn't process this photo because it didn't include the fish's mouth. On second glance I looked at the color patterns and decided that THIS was the main focus of the photo. So here it is:

Here he is again sitting on a small batch of fry. Spends a lot of time in this pot. Believe it or not, the female is in there as well. He kind of blocks the entrance.

The not so friendly ever excited glass banging F0 P. Managuense from Honduras. I have a half a dozen chunky grow outs from this pair that I will be bringing to the convention. One of them is a real bruiser...4". Last night I was feeding the bigger fish some night crawlers. The little guy kept coming to the top of the tank like he would be next...so I gave him one...almost as big as he was...and it was eaten. LOL

Mo, although I have never kept them, you have made me a huge fan of Paratheraps.
Something else for me to look for in Cincy!

I'm bringing Synspilum fry. Really a very nice start to your Paratheraps collection.

Here's some "art" I created using a paint program along with some "channel dithering". Though you would enjoy seeing them.

Artie taught me everything I know about "pitcher taken".
