I'm considering eventually converting my 120g into a species tank for Tanganyikans in the near future...
So anyway, what are good mail-order sources for quality Tanganyikans?
So far I was looking at potentially Toms Tanganyikans or BlueChip Aquatics since they both have extremely high ratings on cichlid forum.
Anybody care to suggest good retailers or to tell about their experiences with Tom or Chip?
Thanks,
~Ed

Ed - we are going to Reserve Stock Cichlids on September 19. You'll get to pick out the tangs of your choice.
You can also check out our other sponsors - frybabies, Atlantis, Dave's Fish, Valley Aquatics, TNT - for tangs.

I've bought from Tom for years. Others: Frybabies, Atlantis, RSC.... I've had fish from all of them.

I got fish from Tom and Anthony at SIcichlids. Both are great guys. But is you want something now, check with SIcichlids.com because Tom is on vacation and won't be back until September. What are you looking for anyway?

Hotcichlids.com Myles :)

Ok, so I am biased but Sarah has fantastic Tangs...I should know, I have some of her fry/juvies in my tanks.

Just realized I never thanked you guys LOL.
Thanks for all the suggestions! Whenever I get a Tang tank (likely a sand dweller, so-called "oddballs", or featherfin) going I'll look into ALL of them.

I would say Valley Aquatics, but I'm biased......:heh:
I think Julie is great and thats why I have her in my links page.
But as far as the other guys, Anthony (SI) Tom, Tyrone, Chip, Peter and Doug......I have talked to all of them at some point or heard good things about them.
When it comes to Tangs, you really can't go wrong with all names mentioned.....everyone does a good job of trying to provide good fish and good customer service.

Two best sources to get Tanganyikans:
Reserve Stock Cichlids and SI Cichlids.
