Looking For A Logo...

In this sites infancy we have seen a week just blur by.
Over 90 registrations.
WebDosser (http://www.webdosser.com/) install a great looking skin.
We have started to plan trips...and more.

Now I am reaching out to all of you. ECC member ZSchweter (http://www.zs-design.com/) has offered to create our official logo, but we are asking for your help in completing the logo. I am looking for the photograph that will be added to the logo.
If you think that you have the photo that should be placed above this page then lets see it.

You have one of three ways to enter your photo:
1) Post the photo(s) on this thread
2) Private Message me with the photo
3) Email webmaster@eastcoastcichlids.org

The final photo will be selected by myself, AlishanAS, YAP, ZSchweter and WebDosser.

The the little orange guy in the last photo looks cool - how about a better pic of him?

The yellow and black that are mating is cool looking- are there clearer pics? the last 2 pics are nice too - although the dorsal would be nicer if extended on the larger fish ... overall the pics are more dynamic as oposed to the typical side on photo - which is good because i can use that more.

hmmm....
BTW - I still need the pixel size for the logo so i can adjust original artwork appropriately.

WOW!!!! - there's a lot of DYNAMIC atypical great shots that are crystal clear!!!! - this would have never been possible 8 years ago! - when the logo is done these pics should be in a species library for other people to gawk at.

A drawing type of logo would be easier to reproduce in silkscreen or embroidery for shirts and such.

But how about this one for a picture.
the fish is curved. you could put
EastCoastCichlids.org above a small version of the picture. curved like the
fish.
Then in large letters below it ECC
I would try it on here but I am at work and don't have the programs.

The reason I say logo is that you can incorporate the logo with a representation of all the different types of cichlids that will not be able to be photographed together ever. Thus not alienating any group's of fishkeepers. It's nice to see a representation of say a betta angelfish south Am. Riverine or whatever mixed in so as not to make smaller represented group's of fishkeepers not feel any less important. However I can't draw for sh1t so I might have caused a new issue.

The Logo has been finalized.
There are two people who I would like to thank.
First I would like to thank Pat (finman57) for the great photo of a beautiful Aulonocara. Pat has been a great person with some really great ideas....thanks Pat!
Second, how could we not thank webDosser for all he has done.
He put up with me for about a week when I would ask him to tweak the logo.
I got to learn why logos can only go so far across a page and wD learned what an Aulonocara is.

As far as the picture that you see under the Announcements heading...
This picture will change periodically. So if you think that you have a great photo please post it.

As always, thanks to everyone for making the infancy of this site a really fun time.
