The fall auction is more than 3 months away but the Admins are working to finalize our raffles.

We're thinking of doing a double tank set up to encourage breeding.

It would consist of a 55g tank with full hood and a 20gL grow out tank with full hood. We would include an iron stand so the 20 could be placed below the 55.
No filters or substrate as the winner will have to decide what type of fish he/she wants and what filtration system to employ.

good idea...no matter how advanced the winner is, they could use that set up

Good thinking, But a 29 over a 20L might be easier for the regular or for that matter advanced hobbiest with space constaint's. Plus it's a neater looking setup with two even length tank's one over the other. The stand is available , I got one right after the thread about it 6 months ago.

I don't see the excitement of a 29g and a 20g as a raffle.
We are not setting up a raffle with the idea of someones "space restraints", unless you are telling us you have no room for a 4' set up.

O.K the stand company also makes a stand for 55 with 40L under it. Is that alittle more what your thinking of. It look's sharp with the tank's at the same lenth.

I'd buy a ticket for a 55 with a 40L underneath. I have one setup like that and it works great.

i would buy a ticket for a 40g 4ft or 33ft 4ft tank. the 55g are too common half of the tanks for sale on CL are 55's.
