I have 50 juveniles and in that group I saw 1.25" female was holding. I pulled 14 fry from her tiny mouth.

actually A. burtoni lives in both bodies of water. It is not a true lake tang cichlid. It usually hangs out in the rivers and streams that feed into the lake. In lake Vic it is found more in the lake but again is found in the tributaries.
