Wishing some of you guys were closer to CT. Damn you have some nice stock. Im still in the process of ramping back up after a fairly recent major downsizing due to burn out. I can tell you that in Connecticut the lfs are not the best source. The trend lately has been to eliminate stocking cichlids and stock salt or to cut back on cichlids except for a few of the more common julies or tangs. Thought it might be cool to hear about where you guys get your fish from. Might even benefit other members who are looking to get some of the stuff you guys have. Please elaborate on your poll selection

I buy from local breeders/friends, but mostly Fish Retailers such as:
Atlantis
Erik Dyke of Dykemyster Fish
Daves Rare Aquarium Fish
TNT Cichlids
I haven't had a chance to buy from anyone else yet especially since my current interest is Malawi Haplochromines but I am eyeing those Tanganyikan, West African, and New World, and Madagascar dealers though...

I've had really good luck getting fish shipped from Sicichlids, and Atlantis, shipping rates are very reasonable for us east coasters. Those are the only 2 that I have ordered from. I'm sure the othe sponsers are good too.

For me, I would say both online retailers and local hobbyists/breeders- but I had to choose 1 for the poll. A few years back, I purchased fish from Tomstanganyikans and from local breeders in Maryland. Recently, I've ordered from Doug.
