View Full Version : Petrochromis sp. red "bulu point"

Seeing that there are only a few known to be in the states still... I thought I would share pictures of these fish. I no longer have these fish but wanted people to at least be able to enjoy the pictures. This was the dominant male that was up at Frybabies for a very long time.

Anyways.... any questions about the fish feel free to ask... Julie kept them for many years. I only had them for about a year.

Female : This female I got from Liegh K. ( apexpredator ) many moons ago...

Great pics, but even nicer looking fish.
The facial structure, especially the lower half of the mouth is different than any African I have seen.
In this picture, the females mouth down to the bottom of the jaw is really chiseled and defined.

Great pics, but even nicer looking fish.

To see these fish eat you would understand....

This video will show their jaws in action !! It's not the bulu points... but another type of petrochromis. Not my video.
