Rob ,
I keep goodeids also. I have spawned the eiseni, Characodon lateralis and Ilyodon xantusi(a great cichlids dither fish).
I currently have Skiffia multipunctata and Zoogoneticus tequila.

Being that I was a member of the Circle City Aquarium Club ( Indianapolis, IN ) I had the opportunity to aquire a few diffrent types of Goodeids and live bearers over the years.
These two fish are the only Goodeids currently in my tanks. Rit Forcier ( ALA Chairman ) was offering the Furcidens for free just pay shipping a couple years ago so I decided to get them and try them in an outside 55 Pond pond. They grow to about 4" in length and are pretty fast, A great Dither fish for cichlids. I have them with Africans mbuna and also Central American compacts.
I have housed Skiffia multipunctata, Limia Melanonotata Santa Maria Dominican Republic, Xenoophorus captivus in my tanks in the past. But for one reason or another they moved on...

Nice fish! Goodeids are GREAT for outdoor fish tubs and ponds. They are really cool-water tropicals. Keep them in the lower racks in your fish room and try to "rest" them in <70 degrees during the winter if you can.

I currently keep:
Ilyodon furcidens
Ilyodon xantusi
Chracodon lateralis
Ameca splendens
Chapalichthys pardalis
Ilyodon can stare down cichlids and stop them in their tracks!

Oh my God! The great Ted Colletti has been woke up! Did someone say goodeids or livebearers?

I also keep:
Anableps (one constantly buggers the other one but no babies)...
Jenysia onca (cool spotted livebearer from Uruguay's Rio Yi)
Endlers
I had a pair of Zoog. tequila...but the baby Cichlasoma dimerus growing out with them ate them...
