Received a pm about this site and I have to say I am pretty impressed with how quickly it is growing. My name is Dave Hansen and I am in San Antonio. Yep. I am picking him up from the airport on Saturday and he is speaking at our Christmas Party the following Saturday. For those that have not met him he is an awesome guy and I have been fortunate enough to have built a friendship with him

It's really sad you guys missed hangin' out with Anton. Besides being a fish fanatic, he is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and a hel! of a lot of fun to hang out with.
He and Dave (Rare) both have a passion for reptiles as well, one frikken lizard was willing to brave the cold ......and these guys were determined to catch him! HA!

Glad to see you found this place Nick. Nick is a buddy of mine and we are both members of the same club here in South Texas. He keeps a stellar fishroom with lots of really unique fish, especially Malawians.

Mullet has been my username forever Larry, I just used Wingsrule on some forums that I pop into occasionally. Anton did pick up a new macro lens while in NY at B&H. He was loving the lens. We had a great time with him. as always. He spent 8 days down here and several of us, including Nick each spent a couple of days entertaining him. He was down here for 11 days in 2007 as well.

I am ignoring the part about Nikon Nick. Once you get done with that training camera we talk about your next real camera, ie Canon :partay:

Whichever camera, Dave, I don't think I have the imagination or the drive to get the fantastic shots of such plain looking fish as you do. Hopefully, folks will keep bringing the neon orange and multi-color flourescent gravel for you to snag at the auctions--so you CAN have at least a little splash of color in your tanks.:1devil:
