for the people who have these,,

i had 2 brevis kitumba and got 4 more @ the auction and was looking to add more before i noticed that the tank i put them in w my hillstream loaches had some injuries..

my loaches are missing some eyes now and seem scared.. its a 36g bow w 7 albino bushy nose, 5 syno petricola, 5 caudopunks, and the 6 brevis..

being that the brevis bite my hands at times, are these the culprets for beating on my loaches??

are they known for this type of aggression??

this is my 1st time trying these guys out..

what ya think?? thanks,

greg

Most of your tanganyikan shell dwellers have teeth. I've had my hand bitten a few times by them. I've seen some males cause mouth damage in jaw locking confrontations. The fish are territorial and will defend their shells. The brevis are most likely the culprits. I normally maintain shell dwellers in single species tanks.
