My Tricoti have bred and I need advice as to when to strip and how long I should let her hold for. Any advice would be appreciated :)

Thanks,

Awesome news Rob, I think your the first on this site or the other site to do it. Unfortunately I don't have any advice as mine never bread when I had them.

It was cool to see. I think, and I'll say it again, I think the female dropped eggs on a vertical rock and the male grabbed one and then the 2 fish kinda kissed and the female received the egg from the male.

That's great Rob. I never had a tank large enough to keep tricoti so I can't offer advice.

Good luck in getting fry!

If you plan to strip her, I would let her hold 10 days at least.

Congrats on the spawn, I haven't heard of many people getting them to spawn.

It was a short lived run (3 Days). Today when I went down to feed the tank she was eating.:facelick: I hope this is a sign of things to come. I am going to call the guy I got them from to see if he had any signs of breeding with them. I wish I knew how things worked with these guys. It was still very cool watching them go through the ritual of breeding and know that they are comfortable enough to do it :guitar:

Hopefully it happens again.

When they spawn again for you, hold off feeding the whole tank for 7 days then strip her.

I know it's earlier then I initially said, but I'm sure you want some fry.

They could go for the whole 10 days without feeding, but thats up to you.
