I picked up a bag of these at NEC today. One of Artie's lots.
I havent kept these guys in about 10 years. I cant remember- isn't the male the smaller of the two fish? If I recall correctly this is the only julie species in which the female is substantially larger than the male?

cool, thanks Young-

The auction was just ok. If you were looking for good deals, not really anything cheap. It started off slow and bids were low for the first half hour, but when people woke up- damn things got expensive. Lots of Julies and petricola's, nothing really great for Malawians- maybe only 5 bags total of fry or juvie peacocks.
I did snag a bag with two pairs of Aulonocara Firefish. And a bag of two pairs of Aulonocara Stuart Granti

Sounds like my kind of auction No pseudo tropheus and the four million barely distinguishable varieties. Yea I know most of you guy's like them, but every year they come up with a new one that looks just like and old one give it a new name and everyone goes nuts paying top dollar. Plus alot of P.S lovers put a ton of different varieties in the same tank. Just don't agree with it.Go Tangs !!! but they do make good starter fish.
