I made a home made brine shrimp hatchery today. The total cost $8 (excluding the PVC glue). I used 1/2 inch pvc because I had some extra pieces in my house. You can use bigger pvc but the cost will also increase.
The supplies that you will need are:
1/2 inch pvc
(4) 1/2 inch pvc elbows
(4) 1/2 inch pvc T
(1) 4 inch toilet flange
(1) 2 liter soda bottle
pvc glue

First cut of the bottom of the soda bottle.

Take the toilet flange and glue it to the soda bottle.

Make a seven inch square using the 1/2 pvc. At the same time Adding the "T" to the middle of each side of the square. This will hold the legs.

thats pretty cool. Similar in concept to what they use at Pro Aqua (they use the Poland Spring water cooler jug)

It is very easy to make. I think it will be cheaper and more beneficial for the fry to grow my own baby brine shrimp. Instead of buying cyclopeze or frozen brine shrimp.
Here is a short video. I filled it up half way with water, added the air stone and 1/2 teaspoon of eggs. I am about to add 1 tablespoon of aquarium salt. I should have baby brine shrimp in 24-36 hours.

It works! I have a bunch of baby brine shrimp. I am looking to add a valve to the bottom of the soda bottle. I might use Joe Jasckots idea. Drill a hole in the bottle cap and use airline tubing and a air valve.

This is a good brine shrimp hatcher, but
IMO: here is another version of a brine shimp hatcher.
From my old traveling buddy from the South Jersey Guppy Group Jon Madsen .
This design from over 15 years ago.
1: Cut two soda bottles as shown above.
2: Taking two 3/4 PVC end caps silicone them to a 2 1/2 gallon tank(inside bottom glass).
These caps should be siliconed so there is enough space for
two bottles... and leave enough space for a 50 watt heater.
Each bottle neck down will be placed will in the PVC end caps.
(the soda cap will be in the PVC end cap ... these bottles will stand
up by them selves and can be lifted out from the PVC caps).
3: In each bottle use rigid plastic tubing that will extend to the soda cap(about a foot in length).
4: Attach your air line tubing and an air valve to control the flow of air.
5: Make sure that the two bottles are placed away from the side where
the Aquarium heater is to be placed....
6: If desired you can cut a hole in a plastic jar cover (for the air line) and use this as
a cover for each of your brine shirmp hatchers....
Now you have a brine that you can control the heat and there by controling
the hatch rate/time....
