So I have had my fish room for about 1 year now I just wanted to share how I built it. Im a full time IT student so I am on a tight budget. This is what I have accomplished so far. Hope you like it and maybe I can inspire you USA fishkeepers on how we do it here. :) I have hundreds of pictures, but I just upload th most "intresting" ones now, might upload the rest if there is enough interest :)
How it all started, this is the room that I rented.

I wanted more so I bought 12 100L aquariums

To bring the cost down all my aquariums (expect the first 2 big ones) are driven by this air pump. 100w

I also wanted cheap and low power lighting so I got the cheapest led lighting possible.

Time is an issue, so I wanted "half-automatic" water changing so I got the drain fixed

This is how the filtration works on my 12 100l aquariums. Very effective and capable of handling hundreds of frys.
http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss36/TutenStain/a.jpg
I have a 10cm sponge and I also have a undergravelfilter with a 10cm sandbed on top of it in each aquarium. All these are driven by air going trough a 25mm 90 deg PVC pipe.
And these are some extra aquariums I have for new born or sick fish.
