No you do not need to pre-register if you are not selling fish. You can get a bidder card at the front door.
Auctions are funny. One week you attend one and no one bids on the fish you want and you get it for less than half of what it is worth. The next weekend you can attend another a few miles away and the same fish will sell for a lot more than it is worth. It's hit or miss. Plus you might not even see the fish you really want. It's a good thing to check the post where it says: "what are you bringing to the auction". You can preview some of the fish there.
I like most about it just talking cichlids and meeting people from this site and networking breeders.
Last time I brought my step-son and his fiance to help out and they had a blast as runners. This time they are away at college, so will miss it.
Just sit back and enjoy it while a few of us run the auction. Also ,check out the rules and all the forms! By the way I have that issue with my FISHWIFE spending way too much at the auctions! LOL! At least when I run out of money, then Tom (AlishanAS) becomes her bank roll but then I have to repay him when we get home.
