Welcome to EastCoastCichlids.org...yes.org. This site is the brainchild of AlishanAS, YoungAquaticPhotos and myself. We thank each and every one of you who have signed on to join this site.
First let me apologize for the "skins" of this site. All of the uploading and downloading for a forum is pretty new to us and we have a work in progress. In return you will get some exciting ideas that this site has in store.
Sure we can tell you that this site will be different than the others, but not only will we tell you that we will be different but we will show you as well.

I was thinking about where to post this, and I figured no where better than the very first post on EastCoastCichlids.

One Road Trip Completed, and many, many more to come. Our caravan on Saturday was a nice site. When we left TPP I could not believe the cars leaving. When we arrived at Julie's we basically outlined one side of her property with vehicles. I think we even shocked those two workers at Dunkin Donuts when there were still more than a dozen of us walking in late at night.

If you have noticed the site is changing constantly. I have picked webDosser's brain with ideas and he has come thru in the clutch over and over again...the man is phenomenal.

As of today I looked at our statistics:
We average 78 posts per day
In the last 24 hours we have had 85 people sign in...85.
All of this and almost 200 members!

To add to that if my count was correct:
We had 19 people on the trip to TFP & Julies. Then we lost Bev & Hubby & Foamer & DoubleVirgo. Maybe I should cound Sarah (Longstocking) in too, since she stayed over at Julies and helped catch fish!
Then at Anubias Design Clay Crawford from NJAS, Carol Ross from BCAS & Chris and his Mrs met us there!
Quite a crowd all day long!
I can't wait for the next trip!

Actually it's pretty impressive to build a site this fast with this much activity in such a short period of time. There is so much available out there on the interenet today that building and keeping active members is not a small task.

There are forums I've been to where you can feel the chill. It takes eons, if ever, to become one of the chosen few that are accepted. This forum is quite different. Very welcoming to new members. One of the reasons I knew it was a good place to sponser.

The road trip was great and I'm looking forward to a lot more and getting to know all of you better. I think the ideas your coming up with for all the road trips are terrific. Every trip to every fish room is an opportunity to learn. There is so much enthusiasm in this group that you will no doubt continue to grow and be successful.

Zippo, I guess somethings are done around here because we have learned from the mistakes of other websites. A moderated chat is much better for all involved. As we get closer to the auction there will be more scheduled chats.
What I am most impressed about is the quality of the people who have joined this site. I was doing some site maintenance today and I noticed that we are now up to an average of 80 posts per day and right around 80 registered members signed on per day...and this from a site with a little over than 200 people.
